What we believe |
1. We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments in their original writing as fully inspired of God and accept them as the supreme and final authority for faith and life.
2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. 3. We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man. 4. We believe that God created man in His own image: that man sinned and thereby incurred the penalty of death, physical and spiritual: that all human brings inherit a sinful nature which issues (in the case of those who reach moral responsibility) in actual transgression involving personal guilt. 5. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, a substitutionary sacrifice, according to the Scriptures, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. 6. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus, his ascension into heaven, and His present life as our High Priest and Advocate. 7. We believe in the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ. 8. We believe that all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God. 9. We believe in the resurrection both of the just and the unjust, the eternal blessedness of the redeemed and the eternal banishment of those who have rejected the offer of salvation. 10. We believe that the one true Church is the whole company of those who have been redeemed by Jesus Christ and regenerated by the Holy Spirit; that the local Church on earth should take its character from this conception of the Church spiritual, and therefore that the new birth and personal confession of Christ are essentials of Church membership. 11. We believe that the lord Jesus Christ appointed two ordinances – Baptism and the Lord’s Supper – to be observed as acts of obedience and as perpetual witnesses to the cardinal facts of the Christian faith; that Baptism is the immersion of the believer in water as a confession of identification with Christ in burial and resurrection, and that the Lord’s Supper is the partaking of bread and wine as symbolical of the Saviour’s broken body and shed blood, in remembrance of His sacrificial death until He come. |
The Gospel: The greatest story ever told
The Bible contains many stories and teachings that people either believe to be true, or to be mostly true and somewhat beneficial. The Bible is much more than a collection of these stories and the thoughts that men many years ago decided to record and to be made available for people to read. The Bible is God's Word, and it contains the great story of who God is and about what He is doing in this world. Let us share that story with you...
In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth (Genesis 1vs1). This is where the story begins; it begins with God and it begins with God creating everything that we know today. The first chapter of the Bible describes how God took time to create the universe, the Earth and everything that populates it today. He created the planets, vegetation, birds, fish and animals, the crown of His creation was man. The reason man was significant was because this was the only part of creation upon which God placed His own image. What must be noted at this point is that God created everything to be in complete harmony with other parts of creation. Things were in fact perfect - exactly the way God intended it to be.
The Fall. Unfortunately, things did not stay perfect. God had a great relationship with the man He created, Adam, and even created a partner to help him, Eve. One fateful day both Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the fruit of the tree of which God instructed them not to eat. The consequences of this single action were catastrophic! Adam and Eve had sinned and through this sin allowed evil to enter into God's creation. The once harmonious relationship that they had with God was disrupted and spoilt. No longer would they be able to remain in God's presence because their sin separated them from God. Not only that, but the ultimate punishment for their sin was death. This was the necessary requirement because there was no way that God could allow sin to go unpunished. What made things worse was that because of Adam's sin the entire human race was affected and plunged into sin as well. Things were not looking good for God's creation, however, God had a plan.
The Rescue. There was absolutely nothing that anyone could do to remove their own sin and be reconciled with God. The only adequate punishment would be death. God, however, loved His creation too much to simply see them die. It's because of His great love for us that He sent His own Son, Jesus Christ into the world to save all people from sin. Jesus Christ was nailed to a cross, as it is described in the Bible. His death became a substitute of the death that we needed to die because of our sins. Through Jesus' death on the cross the full penalty of our sins was paid - no longer would we need to pay it, no longer would we need to die because of our sins. Jesus did it on our behalf. Three days later, to prove that He was the Son of God and to serve as a sign that His work was complete, God raised Him from the dead and back to life. There were many who witnessed Jesus resurrected to life and quite a few who saw Him being ascended into Heaven. He left with a promise that He would return one day.
Restoration. On the day that Jesus returns, God will restore His creation back to the way He intended it to be. Jesus will return to judge the world - this is known as Judgment Day. On that day, people who rejected Jesus and did not believe in Him and obey Him will be judged for their sins and punished. For those who believed, He will take them with Him to spend eternity with God the Father. On that day there will be no more sin and evil, no more crying and pain. Things will be as harmonious as God created it to be. I don't think that there could be a happier ending to the story than that.

You can be saved
The Bible says "... if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;" (Romans 10:9) This involves two things. First, you need to believe in Jesus and trust that everything God has revealed about Him is true. He is the Son of God, He did in fact die for your sins, was resurrected back to life through God's power and He will return for all of us some day. Secondly, you need to make Jesus the Lord of your life. This implies that you surrender the control of your life over to Jesus, so that He can control it. He wants to lead you into having the attitude, behavior and purpose that God wants you to have. It is impossible to attempt to direct your own life and still please God - Jesus has to control it fully.
If you have made this decision to believe in Jesus and allow Him to control your life then you have taken a significant step in your relationship with the Lord. We at Trinity would like to encourage you and help you in taking the following steps. You are encouraged to come and speak to one of our leaders personally or contact us here: email
